The non-weekend weekend

Well, I’ve got two major things to do this weekend. I have to crank out a WordPress theme for a site (no, not this one, silly billies, not yet!) and get some more info together for my accountant. So far, by quarter to one, I’ve managed…. to clean my desk. Poo.

On other fronts, it seems like another slow news day. I did see that Gordon Brown wants to ‘target middle class voters’. I presume they mean he wants their votes – at least, I hope that’s what they mean but past experience means that they’ll be targeting them for new taxes and possibly extra criminalisation. He gave a speech to Fabians (of Oswold Mosley and Eugenics fame, fact fans) claiming that all the new jobs coming will be ‘middle class’ ones with careers attached. Predictably he didn’t say where these jobs were going to come from, from what industry or sector. Which is why this attempt to ‘woo’ has really just ended in the usual wibble.
