Partisan-Electionitis

This is one of my facebook comments about a chap who is a party member….

Spot on J**. D**** is increasingly succumbing to a disease known as partisan-electionitis.

In this troubling condition, the sufferer starts by declaring an allegiance to a party but then swiftly the illness progresses and they lose the ability to define people except by reference to their chosen party. By the middle phase, this manifests as an ‘either you’re with us or against us’ world view but by it’s later stages it makes the victim become totally incapable of accepting any criticism of their Party at all, no matter what outrageous thing may be done in it’s name, regardless of the critique’s validity.

D****, I would say, is in the end stages of this disease.
